In our surgical kit you will find surgical tools, threads and a pad imitating human skin - everything you need for a suturing practice!
An integral part of Medu is an app with an interactive course. In the course, you will find not only the necessary theory on how to manually tie knots and place the different types of sutures. We have enhanced the content with step-by-step video instructions, numerous illustrations to help you understand every topic, and quizzes to consolidate your knowledge.
Both the pad and the tools can withstand hundreds of hours of practice - all you will need is determination. The instructional materials in the course were prepared with the help of our products and the participation of experienced doctors - the kit is tailor-made for Medu's app!
You are one step away from proficiency in surgical suturing - all you need is the time with Medu. Order the kit, grab your smartphone and start learning now!
The set includes:
- A pad imitating skin for learning suture techniques.
Our pad is designed to accurately replicate the structure of human skin. Unlike other low-cost pads, it is constructed with 3 layers of a unique blend of silicone and thermoplastic composite material that mimics skin, subcutaneous tissue and muscle. It has 14 notches that serve as wounds in different shapes and sizes. This allows you to place many types of sutures, and your wound closure training will be varied!
A special polyester mesh is embedded in the surface layer of the skin, which increases the strength of the pad and makes it resistant to damage during suture placement. This is another feature that differentiates the Medu sewing kit from other cheap pads!
Size of the pad:
- 12 cm width,
- 17 cm length,
- 1.3 cm thickness (0.3 cm skin, 0.5 cm subcutaneous tissue, 0.5 cm muscle).
- Needle holder, scissors and stainless steel tweezers.
- 10 surgical threads.
In the set you will find 5 monofilament polypropylene threads and 5 polyester multifilament threads. What are the differences between the two types of threads? You will learn this, as well as the meaning of the various symbols on the package, with our course!
